In this day and age it is incredibly easy to stay connected since you have landline phones, mobile phones, and my favorite, the internet. The internet alone offers various ways for you to stay connected. There are social networking sites that let you see what your friends are up to. There’s email to send letters to your friends and loved ones. And there are instant messaging clients that allow you to talk to others in real time.

One application that allows you to stay connected with others is the CommFort Software Ltd-developed, the aptly named CommFort. This is an application that has been designed to function as a network communications utility. CommFort is a client-server program designed for communication over a home or corporate network.

Here is the type of functionality you can expect to get from the CommFort application:
Text messaging – you can send text messages accompanied by animated emoticons.
Image exchange – quickly and easily exchange images with other users. Images inserted into public channels, private channels or messages are automatically compressed to ensure maximum comfort and minimum network load.
File transfer – you can send files to other users by simply dragging and dropping the files onto the recipient’s image in the list. If the connection is interrupted (for up to 5 minutes), the file transfer resumes from where it left off.
Voice chat – you can chat with other users The application provides high-quality voice communication with minimum time lags because it has been optimized from high-bandwidth networks.

Download – the download weighs in at little over 5MB. So if you are on a high-speed internet connection, you will not even notice when the CommFort download completes.
Installation – installing CommFort could not be a simpler process. You need only follow the steps presented by the setup wizard and everything will run smoothly. CommFort can be installed on just about any Windows version, including the latest iteration, Windows 7 (no Windows 9x support anymore).
Limitations – CommFort is free to try, meaning you can use the application free of charge only for a trial period of 30 days.
